I am enjoying reading through the 100 Names of God Devotional by Christopher D. Hudson. The first day is “Elohim”.
Elohim, the Supreme, Strong, Mighty God. I look up the meaning in my Strong’s concordance and it referenced that the word Elohim is “plural”, which makes sense because our God is Three-in-One- Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The richness and depth to the ancient languages never cease to amaze me. From the beginning until now, He has always been Elohim- the Supreme, Strong, Mighty, Three-in-One God who always intended to abide within His people with Power. Now, I don’t know about you, but that just floors me and make me feel stronger just thinking about it! That such a powerful, divine One would choose to abide in me and work through me is amazing!!
I’ve been asking the Lord to reveal Himself again to me and He has been faithful! I am enjoying my time with Him so much! Whether it is a scripture passage or getting to know Him more by His Name, or praying and spending time in His presence– I am in a season of refreshment and renewal and healing and I am so grateful for all that He is doing.
Maybe you need to know Him as Elohim today? The Supreme One: that nothing or no one can overcome. The Strong One: Who can handle whatever hard thing you are facing. The Mighty One, to Whom all the Power belongs. That’s your God! And He wants to DWELL in you! Take some time and just think on that today! I am and girl, I’m in awe and worshipping Him!
Heavenly Father, Elohim, You are my Supreme God, You are my Strong One, there is no-one mightier than You! Reveal Yourself to me today, help me to receive You as Elohim, breathe Your fresh wind of revelation upon me so that I may worship and glorify You, so that I may KNOW YOU. In Jesus Name, Amen.
