The new Rooted in Love Scripture Journal is now available! I’ve been wanting to begin writing this series for two years. I’m happy to report that I am now in the thick of it and hope to release a journal every few months. (Watch out for the next in the series, Count It All Joy, coming soon!)
Bearing the fruit of the Spirit in our lives should be a top priority for Christians today. When our lives reflect Jesus, He can use us for His Glory.
That’s why it’s important to seek His Word and pray for Him to have His Way in our lives. It’s also why we should learn to put down our flesh and allow His Spirit to lead us in our thoughts and behavior.
Here is Day 1 of the Rooted in Love Scripture Journal:
The defining difference between Christianity and all other religions isn’t necessarily our great faith, but rather the love by which we live our lives. The love of God defies all reason, it is unconditional, passionate, and full of grace.
‘so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.’ Ephesians 3:17-19
How do you perceive love? How do you perceive God’s Love for you? How do you show and experience love? We all desire to have and to give love- we know that we are held and safe when we are loved. We take hold of our identity through love and we experience the greatest fulfillment within ourselves with love’s presence in our lives. And friend, I’ve got good news for you.
God’s desire for you is that you experience the fullness of His Great Love. First, through salvation, then in a rich and rewarding relationship with Him, and finally, with others.
Oh, the riches of His Love! You can spend the rest of your life saturated in it my friend, and it is SO GOOD! When we live in His love, freely receiving and freely giving, we tap into a power for living that is unlike any other!
So, today, I pray that God will help you discover more of His Love. Ask Him to help you receive it and to learn how to give. He has so much in store for you!
